The newly elected executives of the Northern Regional Chapter of the Ghana Journalist Association, GJA, were this morning sworn in at the Tamale High Court. Supervising High Court Judge, Emmanuel Bart-Plange Brew, administered the Oath of office and secrecy.
He implored the executives to play their roles professionally and ethically to uplift the standards of Journalists in the region.
He also advised Journalists to focus on truth and accuracy for the benefit of the people they serve and Ghana at large.
On his part, the Northern Regional Chairman of the Association, Abdul Majeed Yakubu, thanked the judge for standing in to swear the executives.
He promised to ensure that Journalists live up to expectation to protect the peace and security in the region.
The executives are Abdul Majeed Yakubu as the chairman, Albert Futukpor as the Secretary and GBC’s Northern Regional Correspondent, Joyce Kantam Kolamong as treasurer.
