The Director of West African Centre for Cell Biology of infectious Pathogens, WACCBIP, Prof Gordon Awandare, says about one million dollars is spent on sourcing the expertise of foreign researchers.
He said it is about time government invest more in the training of scientists who will research into antibiotics for the good of the country.
Prof. Awandare was speaking at the 2019 WACCBIP Research Conference in Accra.
