The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament adjourned its Thursday sitting after two key ministries failed to appear before the Committee.
Ranking Member of PAC, Samuel Atta-Mills, said the Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Agro-Business, along with their respective departments and agencies, were unable to honour the invitation.

“As a result, we are bringing proceedings to a close and will reconvene tomorrow, Friday, 22nd August 2025,” he said.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, led by Sector Minister Hon. Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpo, appeared before the Committee as scheduled.
The adjournment underscores ongoing challenges in ensuring timely appearances by government ministries during parliamentary oversight sessions.
