Police warn against engagement in land-guard terrorism

The Greater Accra Police Public Relations Director, DSP Afia Tenge, says they are now emboldened to deal with activities of land guards who are terrorizing land and property owners in the Region following the passage of Act 999.

Speaking to George Ankrah, DSP Tenge said the eleven notorious land guards arrested by the Ayi Mensah Police will be prosecuted.

She warned that the least punishment is eleven years in prison whether directly or indirectly involved in the act.

Meanwhile, reacting to the arrest of land guards at Abokobi, Danfa and Ashiyie in Accra, a victim of land guard attacks, one time Greater Accra Regional Best Farmer, Tetteh Nartey expressed joy at the arrest saying the country’s laws must be made to work.
