A portion of the Kaneshie Central Market in Accra is reported to have been gutted by fire.
It is unknown what the cause of the fire is but this comes a few days after the Kantamanto market in the Central Business District of Accra was burnt to ashes under strange circumstances.
The fire at the market comes after similar incidents at the Koforidua market in the Eastern Region and Kantamanto in Accra.
Some of the traders expressed suspicion that it could be a case of arson and, so, called for thorough investigations into the disaster.
Personnel from the Ghana Fire Service were called to the scene and the situation is calm.
A Community Development Activist, Harriet Anita Baidoo called on the leadership of the country to focus on the welfare of the people by providing them with the basics and needed amenities to take care of urgent issues
