Residents and drivers of Atadeka, BBC, New York, and Aviation near Ashaiman, in the Kpone-Katamanso District of the Greater Accra region have embarked on a peaceful demonstration Monday (November 18) against the deplorable state of the roads.

Some angry youth in the district blocked the roads calling on the appropriate authorities to get their roads fixed.

Residents burnt car tyres and displayed placards some of which read, “no road, no vote”; “we pay revenue to k.k.m.a”; “think of us please”; “remember peace land”, among others.

They are hoping that their protests will move authorities to fix their roads and put an end to their misery.
