The Supreme Court has adjourned its ruling on the two properties owned by Alfred Agbesi Woyome at Trasacco Valley which have been claimed by the defunct UT Bank.
The adjournment was as a result of a motion filed by Counsel for Mr Woyome, Osarfo Buabeng, for the reversal of the court’s ruling of December 3 last year, to which both parties were asked to file their statement of claim pending the court’s ruling January 21.
The State represented by the Deputy Attorney General, Godfred Yeboah Dame, has identified plot number 260 and plot 267 as property belonging to Mr. Woyome, but the UT Bank entered a plea claiming ownership of the said property.
According to Mr Woyome, if the Supreme Court goes ahead to deliver its judgment on the two properties, chances are that in the event of losing the case, he cannot appeal at the Supreme Court and has therefore thought it wise to rather, arrest the ruling which was supposed to have been delivered for a review instead.
The Single Court Judge sitting on the case, Justice Anthony A. Benin, consequently adjourned indefinitely.
