Tilapia reared in Ghana safe for consumption – Fish Health Unit

The Director of the Fish Health Unit of the Fisheries Commission, Dr Peter Ziddah says the cause of the death of tonnes of Tilapia at Asutuare is not yet known, but can be attributed to the pollution of the river.
 
He however, gave the assurance that all Tilapia reared in the country are safe for human consumption
