The Watch Night Service to usher in the New Year began at 6:30 pm with praise and worship songs by the choirs and other groups at the parish.
Dressed largely in white, the congregants danced to the glory of God for seeing them through 2022 and ushering them into 2023.

The main Parish Hall was filled to capacity so extra sitting points were erected on the compound and chairs provided to contain the numbers.
Delivering the Homily on “Your Latter Days Shall Be Better Than Your Former”, the Parish Priest, Rev. Father Stephen Dogodzi, of the St Charles Luwanga Catholic Church said the prospects for 2023 will definitely be far better than 2022.
Rev. Father Dogodzi, however, cautioned that the prospects will be realised on a silver platter unless there is hard work, faithfulness in God, obedience. and patience to God’s direction.
He also urged Ghanaians to be wary of people he called dream killers and those engaged in parasitic lifestyles to end it in 2022 and be cheerful givers from 2023.
Pope Benedict who died on December 30, 2022, at age 95 was eulogized in the liturgy of the Eucharist.
