Wakii community in Talensi appeals for potable water

Residents of Wakii, a community in Talensi District of the Upper East Region are appealing to government to provide them with potable water.

For years, residents have had to walk long distances to fetch water or compete with animals over the only source of water which is a pond.

This has left many them with water-borne diseases such as bilharzia.
