As part of efforts to reduce the impact of the economic crisis on workers, managers of organisations have been advised to permit workers to work partly from home.
This, according to the Chief Executive of the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications, Dr. Ken Ashigbey, should be structured in a way that will impact productivity and deliver results.
Speaking to Boards, Chief Executives and Directors of organisations at the 2022 Governance Workshop organised by the Institute of Internal Auditors Ghana, Dr. Ashigbey said, “the emerging challenges have necessitated that Managers adopt new ways of work and support workers to learn new skills to enable them to work effectively and efficiently.”
Dr. Ashigbey encouraged management and workers to take up courses online to upgrade themselves and called on industry to influence how students are trained for the job market.
