Children will play a major role in the 2026 All Star Festival as organizers prepare a family-friendly atmosphere for this year’s event scheduled for July in Legon.

The annual festival, which has grown into one of Ghana’s biggest off-season football gatherings, is set to offer more than just action on the pitch.

Organizers, The Business Africa Consulting Group Limited (The BAC Group), have confirmed that special activities and dedicated recreational spaces will be created for children to ensure families can fully enjoy the occasion together.

A specially designed play area featuring games and fun activities for kids will be one of the attractions at the festival grounds. The initiative is aimed at making the event an enjoyable experience for children while parents and other fans take in the football, music and entertainment activities.

The move reflects the growing ambition of the All Star Festival to become a complete entertainment package rather than only a football event.

Over the years, the festival has attracted thousands of supporters, celebrities, footballers and corporate partners, but the 2026 edition is expected to place stronger emphasis on inclusivity and family participation.

Children attending the festival will have access to interactive games, playground equipment and safe recreational spaces designed to keep them engaged throughout the event.

Organizers believe this addition will help create lasting memories for young fans and encourage more families to attend.

The 2026 edition of the All Star Festival will mark the fifth edition of the event since its introduction in 2022. The festival has previously been hosted in different parts of the country and has steadily developed into a major celebration of football, entertainment and community engagement.

This year’s edition will take place in July after the FIFA World Cup, a scheduling adjustment made to allow more football stars to participate due to their potential involvement in the global showpiece.

The event is expected to feature top Ghanaian footballers, entertainers and several side attractions that will turn Legon into a hub of excitement for fans of all ages.

With children firmly included in the plans, the All Star Festival is positioning itself as an event that caters for the entire family, ensuring young fans have activities tailored to them.
