Under the theme, ‘Redemption has come’the saviour is born,’ the ARB APEX BANK has held it annual festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at the banks corporate head office in Accra.
Managing Director of the bank, Alex Kwesi Awuah, who could not hide his joy and appreciation, thanked God for sustaining a financial institution whose mandate is to bridge the financial inclusion gap in the country.
Reading lesson nine from 1st John 1 to 14, Mr Awuah’s Bible verse emphasised that the apostles personally experienced Him as God’s revelation, offering believers fellowship with God and each other, and contrasting true fellowship with darkness, sin, and falsehood, calling people to walk in the light of God’s truth.
In his Chris message to staff, the Managing Director urged them, regardless of position, to give off their best to the growth of the bank. He added that management sees the imput of each staff member, and those who sacrifice for the institution would be duly acknowledged.
The first lesson was taken by Roderick Ayeh of the risk and compliance department, followed by Latigh Baluo of the ICT department. The third lesson taken from the book of Isaiah chapter 9 was read by Paul Tetteh Bah-Lano of the audit and inspection department.
Head of human capital department, Francisca Dedei Afutu took lesson four while Martha Korkor Annang from the finance department read lesson five. Loriene Bosompem-Twum of the banking operations department took lesson six and Seth Ankrah, a former staff of the bank read lesson seven from Luke 2-8-16.
Curtis Brantuo, Deputy Managing Director, read the 8th lessons.
In a sermon, the General Overseer of Living Streams International, Rev Dr Ebenezer Markwei said the coming of Jesus Christ was a redemption plan that goes beyond the saviours birth and his life on earth.
He said Christians should celebrate Christmas, bearing in mind the purpose for the occasion and its significance to the growth of humanity. Intercessory prayers were said for the bank, its management and staff, and the entire banking and financial sector.
Offertory was given for charity and special awards and recognition went to past and present staff of the bank for their continuous support.
A cocktail and dinner dance with live band music for all who attended the ceremony climaxed the 2025 festival of Nine Lessons and Carols of the ARB APEX BANK.
