On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Dr Wisdom Kofi Dogbey, Managing Director of the Cocoa Marketing Company, has engaged with members of Muslim communities in Ho.
The visit followed an invitation from the Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Mawutor Agbavitor, and aimed to promote community relations and social responsibility. The gathering, chaired by Mr Agbavitor, focused on peace, religious tolerance and unity in support of regional and national development.
During the event, Dr Dogbey donated bags of rice, cooking oil and other essential items to the community, symbolising support during the celebration. The items were warmly received, reflecting the spirit of sharing associated with Eid al-Fitr.
He also engaged in discussions with community leaders, highlighting the importance of unity in achieving sustainable development.
“As we celebrate Eid al-Fitr, it is vital that we come together as one community, embrace our differences and work collaboratively towards a brighter future,” he said.
Community leaders emphasised the need to promote religious tolerance, noting that peaceful coexistence among diverse groups is key to development.
“Your presence here today reinforces the idea that together, we can overcome challenges and build a prosperous future for our region,” one leader said.
The event ended with a renewed sense of commitment among participants to work together towards development in the Volta Region and Ghana as a whole.
