A Dodge Journey saloon car (DV 9496 X) caught fire at Shiashie early on Friday, December 12, 2025.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said the incident was reported at 08:17 GMT. Heavy traffic delayed the Legon Fire Station crew, led by ADO I Adjei, who arrived at 08:33 GMT and extinguished the fire by 08:47 GMT.
The vehicle was completely destroyed. The GNFS has advised drivers to keep a working portable fire extinguisher in their vehicles to help prevent total losses in similar incidents.
