Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia on December 21, 2021 joined the Office of the Attorney-General and the Ministry of Justice to observe the Festival of
Nine Lessons and Carols.
In a short sermon, a Priest in the Anglican Diocese of Accra, Holy Spirit Cathedral, Rev. Akua Ofori-Boateng said Christmas is about the sacrifice of Jesus Christ which must serve as a guide to all. The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame announced that a case on the processes of acquisition of Embassy building has been dismissed in a District Court in Oslo, Norway.
The ceremony was characterized by the readings of the nine lessons and music. Staff of the Attorney-General’s Department and the Ministry of Justice danced to the melodious tunes, expressing gratitude to God for another successful year. Vice President Bawumia who read the 9th lesson later on in a remark said, “while the world awaits the second coming of Christ, it is important to emulate his teachings as Jesus Christ was an epitome of love, peace and unity”.
The Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Yeboah Dame said in spite of the challenges, God has been gracious to all departments under his Ministry.
In a sermon on the meaning of Christmas , Rev. Akua Ofori-Boateng said Christmas should not only be about merry making but, “a reflection on the life of Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made”.
She urged all to make a point to be a blessing to others.
The Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice was optimistic about 2022.
