Gloria Angmorkie Anderson, a journalist with more than two decades of experience in broadcasting, has been selected to attend the prestigious International Federation of Agricultural Journalists (IFAJ) Congress in Nairobi, Kenya.
The African Agricultural Technology Foundation chose Gloria through its Open Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology Africa (OFAB) project to join agricultural journalists from around the world at the congress, scheduled for 15–18 October 2025.
Gloria, who has been in the media since 2004, serves as Deputy Treasurer of the Network of Women in Broadcasting (NOWIB) and Chief Editor at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC). She also hosts Women’s Voice on GTV and produces Behind the News on Uniiq FM. She was recognised for her outstanding reporting on agricultural biotechnology, a field increasingly vital to ensuring food security across Africa.

The sponsorship will enable Gloria to participate in the full congress programme and a field excursion to Kiboko, Makueni, in eastern Kenya, where she will report on innovative farming practices that could benefit Ghanaian farmers.
Maame Biamah Akwafo, President of NOWIB, praised the achievement, saying, “Gloria has consistently demonstrated excellence in journalism, and this international recognition is well deserved. Her work in agricultural reporting has helped educate audiences on critical issues affecting farmers. We are extremely proud of her.”
Speaking about her nomination, Gloria said, “I am truly grateful for this opportunity. Agricultural biotechnology is not just about science, it’s about finding solutions to help our farmers grow more food and improve their livelihoods. I look forward to learning from experts and fellow journalists in Nairobi and bringing back valuable insights to share with Ghanaians.”
The IFAJ Congress brings together agricultural journalists from across the globe for networking, professional development, and firsthand exposure to the latest agricultural technologies and practices.
Gloria will travel to Nairobi on 14 October and return home after the congress concludes on 18 October 2025.
