The Ghana National Gas Company has launched a Ladies Association as part of activities to commemorate International Women’s Day under the theme “Give to Gain.”
The company hosted an event on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at Palm Eagles Hotel, where several dignitaries spoke on the theme.
At the symposium, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gas, Judith Adjobah Blay, emphasized that “giving is not a subtraction; it is intentional multiplication,” and challenged women not only to occupy space but to transform it through courage and accountability.

The Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Emelia Arthur, added that women’s advancement in industry depends on deliberate investments in mentorship and opportunities for women.

The Deputy Chief of Staff, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, climaxed the event by noting that the government’s current “reset agenda” is inherently a gender agenda, focusing on rebuilding trust in governance and increasing the representation of women in managerial positions to at least 30%.
The programme also served as a call for women to leverage their unique strengths to drive industry progress and promote gender equality.
