26 more Ghanaian students in Ukraine return home

26 more Ghanaian students in Ukraine have successfully landed at the Kotoka International airport. This brings to 74, the total number of citizens who have so far arrived safely in the country from the war torn Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration announced that the evacuees arrived 2 pm March 5, 2022. 14 of the students arrived from Romania, nine from the Czech Republic, and three from Slovakia.

The newly arrived students were received by officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration and the Government’s Spokesperson on Governance and Security, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah.

CitiNews reports that Spokesperson for the students, Akyen expressed appreciation on behalf of his colleagues to the Government of Ghana for bringing them back home safely and offering them the needed support.
