Government to enforce regulations to promote responsible fishing

Government is set to establish and enforce robust regulations to prevent over fishing and promote responsible fishing practices.

It is also deepening its strategic partnerships to build a progressive coalition for enhanced ocean health.

President Akufo-Addo made the announcement at the inaugural National Blue Economy Summit in Accra.

Delivering a five-point agenda for urgent action that will contribute to protecting the ocean and planet, the President called for greater investments in research and technological advancement and innovation.
