The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced the postponement of a new tariff order under the Energy Sector Levies (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act 1141), which was originally scheduled to take effect on June 16, 2025.

The decision follows a directive from the Minister of Finance after consultations with key stakeholders. The postponed measure involves an increase in the Energy Sector Shortfall and Debt Repayment Levy (ESSDRL) on selected petroleum products.

In an official letter signed by Commissioner-General Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, the GRA informed all ports and stations that a new effective date for the levy will be communicated later.
