Islamic burial for 2 victims of Adansi Akrofuom helicopter crash slated for Sunday, August 10

Two of the eight victims of the Adansi Akrofuom military helicopter crash will be buried on Sunday, August 10, in line with Islamic traditions that require prompt burial.

The funeral committee confirmed the rites are for Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, and Alhaji Muniru Limuna Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator.

The ceremonies will be conducted in line with Islamic customs, traditions, and practices.

According to the funeral planning committee, Jannaza prayers will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, followed by interment at 2:30 p.m. at the Military Cemetery, also in Accra.
