Chairman of the Ghana Association of Private Voluntary Organizations in Development, John Dei, says the impact of the Interim Partnership Agreement signed with the EU and Cote d’Ivoire have necessitated policies to build capacity of Ghanaians as well as members of the ECOWAS sub-region to gain deeper insights and understanding into prospects of the Agreement.

Speaking at the opening of the 2nd Second Sub-Regional workshop in Accra, Mr. Dei said the session would raise awareness and increase participation of members in the various NGOs and CSOs.

The second sub-regional consultative and experience-sharing workshop with national CSO platforms on the Economic Partnership Agreement is to support efforts of members of the sub-region to build operational capacities of citizens’ oversight of the Interim Economic Partnership Agreement.

Chairman of Ghana Association of Private Voluntary Organizations in Development, John Dei, said the workshop will help boost confidence of members and also have a broader perspective of progress made with regard to the Interim Partnership Agreement signed with the EU and Cote d’Ivoire.
