Organised Labour has suspended its intended strike scheduled for Monday, July 10, 2023, to demand the reinstatement of three of their Local Union workers whose contracts have been terminated by Sunon Asogli Power Limited.

The group took the decision after the Council of State requested ample time to engage key stakeholders. Organised Labour expressed disappointment at Sunon Asogli Power Ghana Ltd.’s posture not to reinstate their Union leaders after what they described as the wrongful termination of their contracts.

Addressing the media, the Secretary General of the TUC, Dr. Yaw Baah, gave an update on the steps taken by organised labour to ensure that the three workers of Sunon Asogli Power are reinstated.

Dr. Yaw Baah says organised labour is giving the Council of State until July 17, 2023, to come up with positive news.
