A cargo truck carrying assorted pharmaceutical products has been intercepted by the Juaboso Police patrol team at a Community near Bunso Nkwanta, a border town in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.
For security reasons, the Police have for now withheld the name of the pharmaceutical company on whose behalf the products were being transported.
The Police intercepted the vehicle on suspicion that the assorted pharmaceutical products were being smuggled to neighbouring Cote d’Ivoire.
The case has subsequently been transferred to the Regional Police Command with the driver of the truck assisting in investigations.
The Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Michael Nkekesi, disclosed this to GBC News at Sefwi Wiawso.
