The Ghana Police Service has placed a ten thousand Cedi bounty on the heads of suspects who allegedly attacked Radio Ada.

The Police say anyone with credible information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators will receive that reward.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Alexander Kwaku Obeng. The statement said the Police will do everything possible to find the thugs and deal with them according to the laws of the country.

The statement urged staff of Radio Ada, people of Big Ada and the public to remain calm as the Police continues investigations into the attack which happened on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

The statement added that a team of investigators and intelligence officers from the National and Regional Headquarters are currently supporting the Ada Divisional Police Command to investigate the incident and get those involved arrested and prosecuted.

Meanwhile, the Tema Deputy Regional Police Commander and team of officers have visited the Radio Station to engage management and staff on the incident and inform them that the Police Administration is putting the services of its clinical psychologists at their disposal. The team also engaged the chiefs, opinion leaders and community members on the
incident and other security-related issues.

This move forms part of the many initiatives lined-up by the Authority to increase domestic revenue amidst the country’s limited access to the international financial market.
