The Takoradi District Census Officer, Mr Samuel Ackah Cudjoe, has led a float along some major streets of the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis (STMA) to create awareness on the Census Reference Night.

The reference night would help test questions for the exercise that will last till July 11.
Mr Cudjoe told the Ghana News Agency that the Ghana National Fire Service and the Police had been contacted to sound their sirens at midnight to remind the people of the beginning of the exercise.
Meanwhile, travellers, patients on admission at the hospitals and their staff, guests in hotels, as well as people sleeping on the streets would have the opportunity to be counted throughout the night.
The exercise was preceded by listing of all structures across the Metropolis.
Mr Cudjoe, therefore, entreated Ghanaians to give the enumerators the maximum cooperation to ensure the success of the exercise, which would aid national development planning.
