Mr. Agbenyenu Bless, a Teacher in Jasikan in the Oti Region, has been arrested for allegedly creating a fraudulent facebook account in the name of Yao Gomado, MP for Akan Constituency.
Mr. Bless is said to have used the MP’s name to engage in deceitful activities that caused harm and potential financial losses to unsuspecting individuals.
Repots say his arrest follows a thorough investigation into reports of fraudulent activities targeting Akan Constituency and the broader Ghanaian Community.
The impersonation scheme involved the unauthorised use of MP Yao Gomado’s identity on social media, specifically Facebook.
Mr. Agbenyenu Bless is currently in Police custody at Jasikan, awaiting legal proceedings.
