Three people — including two students — have been arrested in connection with an attack on teachers at West Africa Senior High School.

The suspects were picked up around 11:30pm on Tuesday, February 16, and appeared before the Adenta Circuit Court on February 17, 2026.

They have been remanded into police custody and are expected to reappear in court on March 30, after pleading guilty to all charges brought against them.

Education officials, including the Greater Accra Regional Director of Education and her deputy, were present in court, alongside municipal directors from La Nkwantanang Madina and Adentan, as well as school heads and staff from neighbouring institutions.

Following the court appearance, education authorities visited the school to reassure both teachers and students of their safety.

Students were urged to maintain discipline and avoid truancy, disrespectful conduct, and other behaviours that could negatively affect their future.

Officials also expressed solidarity with the affected teachers and pledged continued support.

The Ghana National Association of Teachers, Ghana National Association of Teachers, said it remains committed to protecting educators and ensuring accountability in cases of violence against staff.
