Black Stars coach Otto Addo has announced his squad for Ghana’s final two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against the Central African Republic and Comoros, featuring exciting inclusions like Kojo Peprah Oppong, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Alidu Seidu.
The 21-year-old Kojo Peprah Oppong earned his first senior national team call-up after impressive performances with OGC Nice in France’s Ligue 1. His rise from Ghana’s Division One club Attram De Visser to European football has caught the attention of the national team selectors, marking a significant milestone in his career.
Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku returns to the squad after a strong season in the English Championship, having overcome an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in November. Defender Alidu Seidu is also making a comeback after recovering from a knee injury that sidelined him for nearly a year.

Newcomer Prince Owusu, midfielder for Medeama SC, receives his first national team call following a promising start to the Ghana Premier League season, showing the coach’s commitment to integrating fresh talent.
Ghana will face the Central African Republic on Wednesday, October 8 in Meknes, Morocco, before hosting Comoros in Accra on Sunday, October 12.
The Black Stars currently lead Group I and need just four points from these last two games to secure their place in a fifth FIFA World Cup, set to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
