The Daily Graphic applauds the Ministry of Food and Agriculture for the decisive action to ban the exportation of some vegetables from Ghana to the European market. The paper although impressed has raised concerns about the kind of agronomical practices necessitating this self-check. It encourages the Food and Agriculture Ministry to go beyond this action by educating farmers on the proper processes in applying chemical inputs.

The Ghanaian Times commends the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Madam Cecilia Dapaah for proposing community service for persons found guilty of some criminal offences to help rid the city of filth. It believes Ghanaians need to do more to ensure a clean environment than what is being done now. It says bad attitude to sanitation is the biggest obstacle to the fight against insanitary conditions in Accra. The Times says it is imperative for everyone to support efforts to make the cities clean demanding action from the District Assemblies.
