The Daily Graphic supports the declaration by President Akufo-Addo that the slave trade was a barbaric episode which must never be allowed to recur. The paper thinks the celebration of PANAFEST should focus on showcasing the achievements of Africans so their worth can be recognised. It says PANAFEST must be used to effectively reconnect the continent to inspire citizens to be vigilant. The paper urges organisers of the event to put in initiatives that will make it possible for Africans to engage with one another with the aim of establishing a developmental path for the continent.

The Ghanaian Times describes the payment of part of the arrears owed caterers of the School Feeding Programme by government as a relief. The paper urges government to make the necessary efforts to ensure that the School Feeding programme is sustained irrespective of the challenges. The Times is hopeful the release of the money to the caterers will encourage them to improve their services.
