Acting IGP visits families of Takoradi missing girls

The Acting Inspector General of Police, (IGP), James Oppong-Boanuh, has assured the families of the three Takoradi missing girls that the police administration will not shield or spare anyone found culpable to have played a role in the kidnap of their relatives will not be spared.

The Acting IGP gave the assurance when he, together with a high powered police team, visited the families at their various homes within Kansawrodo and Diabene all in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.

Mr. Boanuh comforted the families and promised that the police were doing their best to resolve the matter.

Mr. Oppong Boanuh also revealed that a team of forensic experts will be dispatched  Wednesday, August 14, to collect the DNA samples from the families to aid investigations.

The police recently retrieved some human skeletons from a cesspit at Kansaworodo, a suburb of Sekondi/Takoradi where the key suspect, Samuel Udoetuk-Willis, resides.

The police are conducting forensic examinations to determine the identities of the remains.

Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, a third-year student of the University of Education, Winneba, was kidnapped on 17, August 2018, at Kansaworodo, while Ruth Love Quayson, 18, a Fijai Senior High School leaver in Sekondi was kidnapped December 4, 2018 at Butumegyabu junction in Takoradi, with Priscilla Mantebea Kuranchie, 15, a first-year student of Sekondi College, kidnapped December 21, 2018, at a spot near Nkroful junction.
