Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has denied allegations of influencing voters at a polling station in Effutu Constituency during the ongoing NPP Presidential Primary, calling the claims “entirely false” and “deliberate distortion of facts”.

He took to his Facebook today to write that, he has adhered to Electoral Commission and party guidelines throughout the process and has not been near the voting area.

“I have become aware of circulating claims alleging my presence near a polling booth in Effutu, purportedly influencing voters and compromising ballot secrecy. These assertions are entirely false and constitute a deliberate distortion of facts”, he wrote.

He described the allegations as the latest in a series of plots orchestrated by his adversaries, citing a previous manipulated video that falsely claimed he didn’t applaud a candidate during the peace pact signing at Alisa hotel some days back.

Afenyo-Markin urged stakeholders to prioritize peace, transparency, and democracy, and welcomed anyone to verify the facts in Winneba.
