A non-governmental agricultural organization, Agrihouse Foundation, in partnership with Organic Bloom Ghana has launched a new high-performance organic product designed to enhance agricultural productivity and promote sustainable farming practices in Ghana.
The product launch took place in Ho, the Volta Regional capital, as part of activities to mark the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration.

This innovative product is tailored to retain soil moisture, making it an ideal solution for farmers, particularly during the dry season. It is suitable for a range of crops, including cassava, soya beans, rice, maize, and vegetables.
Speaking at the launch, the founder of the Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, described the product as a breakthrough solution for farmers to farm during the rainy and dry seasons helping them increase thier yields and grow thier farming communities.
She revealed that the product offers tremendous results in boosting productivity.

She encouraged farmers to adopt improved technologies and inputs that align with the government’s vision for sustainable agricultural transformation.
The launch was accompanied by an insightful training session for farmers, focusing on best practices and improved technologies.
A women’s farming group, the Volta and Oti Women in Agriculture Network (VOWAN) attended the event and thanked organisers for the training and introduction of a high-performance product.

Farmer and member of VOWAN, Madam Janet Adade is confident the product would boost thier yield and best practices to make more gains.t
“We thank Agrihouse, they have taught us good practices to get good yields as a business, and we have been taught how to soak our seeds to get more yields and make a profit,” she said.
“We will go back to our communities and teach other women farmers” she added

The launch of Organic Bloom in the Volta Region is an encouragement to most farmers from the region, giving that the region is one of Ghana’s agricultural hubs.
Industry players in agriculture, NGOs, farmers, and dignitaries from across the region and beyond are in Ho, where the 41st National Farmers’ Day event will take place.

The 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration is an honour to farmers and fishers, whose labor is the backbone of the nation’s food security. This year’s theme is “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana, Secure the Future.”
Agrihouse Foundation has been supporting farmers across Ghana by creating meaningful jobs for young people, with a focus on vegetables. This includes supporting farmers with disabilities and over 20,000 women. They have also collaborated with several agricultural companies.
