The Black Queens started their Pink Ladies Cup 2026 campaign in dominant fashion on Saturday 28th February 2026 cruising past Hong Kong 4–0 in their opening group match at the Al Hamriya Sports Club Stadium.
Ghana took control early with Princess Marfo breaking the deadlock in the 28th minute, giving the Queens the lead.
Just before half-time, Doris Boaduwaa doubled the advantage in the 39th minute, sending Ghana into the break 2–0 up.
In the second half, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah added a third in the 55th minute, before a fourth from debutant Ajegipena sealed the convincing win for the Black Queens.
The Pink Ladies Cup is an annual invitational women’s football tournament that serves as a high-intensity preparation platform for national teams ahead of major competitions.
This year’s edition runs from February 28 to March 6, 2026, in Dubai and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, featuring four nations: Ghana, Russia, Hong Kong, and Tanzania.
The event uses a round-robin format, where each team plays all others once. Teams earn three points for a win and one for a draw, with goal difference deciding standings if teams finish level on points.
