The Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry has threatened to embark on a demonstration if government fails to meet the group on July 10 to discuss plans of clearing debt owed them.

The group, mostly made up of GETFUND contractors earlier warned that they will seize all projects constructed by their members if government refuses to pay for work done.

This follows a similar move by some road contractors on Wednesday who besieged the premises of the Ministry of Roads, demanding pay for work done since 2016.

Chairman of the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry, Surveyor Emmanuel Martey said their members will have no other option but to demonstrate if government fails to meet them.
