The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), has established systems to ensure that specific standards are adopted to suit certain products under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, AFCFTA.

The move is to ensure that participants under the trade agreement have an enabling environment to trade unrestricted by certain standards that is foreign to them.

Speaking on the Eye on Port programme, Acting Director Western Corridor and Head of Competent Authority for Fish and Fishery Products at the Ghana Standards Authority, Jessica Nkansah said the implementation of these measures will ensure standards are good across all countries involved in Trade while ensuring that countries do not erect technical barriers to disrupt trading activities.
