Microfin Rural Bank, in the Central Region has been recognised for its immense contribution to the growth of the small and medium enterprises in its operational area, especially women-led businesses. The bank was honoured with with the “Recognition for Support of Women in SMEs Award” at the maiden Ghana Business Awards in Accra.

Microfin Rural Bank (MRB), headquartered at Gomoa Pomadze in the Central Region, is a fast-growing rural bank playing a significant role towards the growth of small and medium enterprises,especially women-led businesses.
A board member of the bank, Alhaji Mohammed Yusuf Twumasi, said the recognition will boost the morale of management and staff of the bank to work even harder to support rural businesses. Alhaji Twumasi said MRB operates a unique model of rural banking which has kept them ahead of the competition over the last five years.
