The Cybercrime Unit of the Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has arrested ten individuals in a targeted, intelligence-led operation against cybercrime activities at Weija in the Greater Accra Region.
The suspects, who include nationals from China and Malaysia, are currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
During the raid, authorities retrieved over 800 assorted mobile phones, several computers, and numerous charging devices believed to have been used in illegal operations. All items have been secured for forensic analysis.
The joint operation forms part of broader efforts by the Ghana Police Service and GRA to clamp down on cyber fraud and protect Ghana’s digital and financial infrastructure.
Police say further updates will be provided as investigations progress.
