The Bolgatanga Technical Institute has ordered all second- and third-year students to return to school immediately following recent disturbances on campus.

‎According to the School authorities, every male student is required to pay GH¢1,000 as a damage fee before being allowed back. The directive comes after an assessment of property destruction linked to the unrest.

‎Management says the move is necessary to restore discipline and ensure academic work resumes smoothly. Officials also indicated that further measures will be taken to maintain order and prevent future incidents.

‎The recall follows a violent student riot on Thursday August 14, 2025 to Friday August 15 which left parts of the school in flame including the senior headmaster’s office and the school’s library.
