More than 6,000 Senior Staff from ten public Universities in the country are on a nationwide strike.
National Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of Universities, Mohammed Zakaria said until their concerns including payment of their tier-two pensions and conditions of service are addressed, they will not be at post.
The declaration was made on the KNUST campus.
Mr. Zakaria gave a historical background to the genesis of their issue. He said the Association has always valued dialogue over strikes.
