Private second cycle schools in the Ashanti region have started suffering the consequences of the free education-Double Track system as enrolment is becoming a major business sustainability issue.
GBC’s Radio Ghana’s survey has revealed, that most of the private Senior High and Vocational and Technical Schools may not survive after three years if the government maintains its present free education implementation strategy.
Correspondent Nicholas Osei-Wusu reports that one of such schools, Kings Senior High School at Ahinsan, has almost collapsed because it has not enrolled even a single new student since schools opened for this academic year while it had only seven applicants following the start of the government’s flagship education policy last year.
