Proposed national university for skills bill to be laid before parliament

The National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE), says government is committed to investing heavily to equip Technical Universities and reform the Pre-Tertiary Technical and Vocational Training Institutions.

To this end, a bill to propose the setting up of a National University for Skills and Entrepreneurial Development will soon be put before Parliament for consideration.

Speaking at the first Congregation of Tamale Technical University in the Northern Region, the Rector, Professor Mohammed Salifu, said the proposed National University will train teachers to feed the Technical and Vocational Training Institutions across the country.
