Ghanaian musician and songwriter, McDonald Addotey Braide popularly known as Kojo Blak has revealed that his go to meal would always be Fufu, a Ghanaian local dish made from cassava and plantain, hinting that he always misses Ghana when he’s not in the country.
“Fufu can go with any soup for me — like light soup, groundnut soup. It holds the vocals together. Anywhere I go, Fufu has to be there. If Fufu is not there, I won’t enjoy the country. Like, I’ll be missing Ghana”, he noted.
The ‘Excellent’ hitmaker mentioned on the GTV breakfast show on Friday, December 12, 2025 that he prefers to eat Fufu before any of his stage performances hinting that the energy he exudes after the meal makes people wonder if he has taken in some energy boosters.
Kojo Blak also revealed that he has always looked up to the late Michael Jackson not due to the singer’s talent but his dedication to his craft.
“Michael Jackson is my goat, the reason being that he would just put his all into whatever song he’s making, into his performances, into his craft, literally”, he said.
Kojo Blak further revealed he would have been a pastor in a church if he had not pursued music.
“One thing my fans do not know about me is that, I would be a pastor if not for music. I have that kind of relationship with God and I’ve always felt like doing something to acknowledge the grace that God showers me with”.
