Four Ghanaian football coaches have today, Sunday 1st February 2026, departed Ghana for Wales to take part in the UEFA B Licence Coaching Course under a partnership between the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Football Association of Wales (FAW).
The selected coaches are Black Galaxies assistant coach Godwin Ashitey Attram, Black Satellites assistant coach Winfred Dormon, national under-15 coach Fatawu Salifu, and Hearts of Oak assistant coach Abdulai Gazale. The program runs from Feb. 1 to Feb. 20, 2026.
The coaching course is hosted by the FAW. It forms part of a wider collaboration with the GFA to improve coaching standards and facilitate technical exchanges between the two federations.
The GFA is covering the full cost of the course and international travel for the four coaches, while the FAW is supporting accommodation and training logistics during the program.
According to GFA, the training will expose the coaches to modern football methods, tactical development, and performance management techniques used in European football.
Their participation is aligned with Ghana’s broader “Power to the Youth” initiative, which focuses on developing young talent, strengthening coaching capacity, and creating sustainable pathways for the future of Ghanaian football.
Investment in this coaching course positions Ghana as laying the groundwork for long-term success, that ensures that future generations of players benefit from higher technical standards and a more competitive football environment.
