Ghanaian Boxer Theophilus Kpakpo Allotey AKA Theo Lopez defeated his Namibian opponent Jonas Erastus to become the new WBA: Super Flyweight Champion of Africa.
The Legacy Rise main contest for rhe night saw Theophilus delivering to his oppoment a round 7 technical knockout after referee Roger Banor rushed in to stop the contest to save Erastus from receiving suffering further punishment at the hands of the Ghanaian.
Despite suffering an early second round cut on the right eye, Theo Lopez did not look affected and maintained a steady moment that delivered him the win in the 7th round., earning him a 5th career title in just under two years of turning professional.
The event dubbed “The Rise Continues” by Sharaf Mahama’ Legacy Rise Sports at showcased top Ghanaian talents on display at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Friday April 10,2026 with another massive crowd turnouts. The packed, high-energy card featured prominent local boxers like John Laryea, Sherif Quaye, Nat Suppey, Prince Kamaldeen, foreing boxers Jursley Vargas, Ibrahima Diallo, and two female boxers Ama Sedem and Nigerian opponent Chiamaka.
