Gov’t will deal with unfair trade practices- President Akufo-Addo assures

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says government will deal with the problem of unfair trade practices which has occasioned the dumping of inferior goods into the country.

This will also protect local manufacturers from unfair competition.

President Akufo-Addo gave this assurance when he cut the sod for work to begin on the second phase of the KEDA Ghana Ceramics Company at Shama in the Western Region during the first day of his working tour of the Western Region.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, July 23, resumed his national tours with a visit to Western region.

The President’s tour will give him the opportunity to interact with citizens, stakeholders and opinion leaders, inspect ongoing development projects as well as cut sod for new projects to commence.

The Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, at a media briefing in Accra last Sunday, said the President will also commission Ghana Gas projects in Esiama, meet chiefs and people at a town hall meetings as well as cut sod for a fish landing breach at Axim.

The President will return to Accra on Saturday after the Panafest festivities at the Cape Coast Stadium.
