The Ghana Tourism Authority, GTA, has presented a cheque of 20,000 Ghana cedis to the Ghana Journalists Association, GJA, towards the 24th GJA awards ceremony, to recognize and honour journalists who promote domestic tourism.
The package is to sponsor the Tourism Writer of the year for both electronic and print. At brief presentation ceremony at the International Press Center in Accra, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Haruna Nelson said the media plays a crucial role promoting tourism which is worth supporting.
The GJA president Roland Affail Monney while expressing appreciation for the gesture, said the sponsorship would expand the scope of media development in the country as well as serve as a motivation to journalists.
