A medical officer at the sickle cell clinic at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Sylvester Mensah has asked government to expand infrastructure at the clinic to enable it to run a 24-hour service.
He said though personnel are available to operate the facility, logistics and inadequate infrastructure remain a challenge.
Dr. Mensah, made the appeal during a sensitization walk on sickle cell disease in Accra.
